Stan is one fascinating writer. Is style is so unique. It’s like watching netflix in black and white. It cuts out the noise and focuses and what truly matters.
Its hard and when I actively tried to stop doing it, it made me realize how much I was relying on it. But once I got the hang of different styles, I feel like it helped me to grow.
The hard stuff is usually what helps us grow, isn't it? I feel like I need to sit down and figure out if I'm doing this: stripping myself for parts, or sharing intentionally only what I wish to share...
I am so happy you interviewed Stanley! I’ll tell you the truth - if I’m on Substack and I only have 15 minutes to read a publication, I always check my inbox for Stanley’s work first, or just go directly to Let’s Not Be Trash to see what he’s got going on. I love how he’s contemplative and sincere and willing to dig deep for answers, in his subject matter and in himself. Not many writers can pull that off, especially in an eloquent or meaningful way. These were great questions, too, I loved this interview!
I enjoyed this one. I love Stanley’s writing. He makes me think and educates.
aw thanks. I enjoy his writing too. I love being surrounded by such different writers.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate that, plus you all help me sharpen my sword with your thoughts and your words!
Writers are as diverse as the stories they share. It's fascinating to read someone else's journey with writing. Great stuff!
Thanks for supporting!

You’re welcome! Glad to do it Stanley!
Hard relate to your writing process, Stanley. And I love the realization that you don't want to be stripping yourself for parts for the writing.
